Insert is designed to fit version 1.5 of the game with the dimensions of the box listed above. Insert works well with the old version 1.3, but the box is about 7 mm lower and in this case the cover does not close completely. Insert designed for play with dimensions of external box of 62,8 x 32,5 x 13,5 cm.
Insert compatible with Kingdom DEATH Monster®, and Insert has space for a total of 1 standard size cards and 300 gear cards in total. The design offers both efficient storage and improved play. All the trays can be used during the game, and they greatly help set-up and cleaning times.
This insert alone does not completely fill the box, and therefore the game cannot be stored vertically with this insert alone. It is arranged with the chips and dice in trays on top. On the right is a space sized to hold the main rulebook and larger tiles. On the left is a recess for the small board and the Player boards, with additional space for the larger land tiles of the expansions.
Token trays were made to be large, simple trays. This means that the chips can be removed quickly and placed on the game board so that you can easily access the decks of cards underneath. There are slots for all types of tokens, and additional slots for tokens and expansion tiles.
There are also trays for the larger terrain tiles and settlement event cards. Cards can be short.
Each of the card trays can store sleeved cards, and is made to be removable from the box when needed. The access holes in the board dividers are disabled so that the black card dividers that come with the deck can still be used and read from the board.
The gear card trays can be used for gear cards or for standard size cards. There is a cut in the side of the board so that the cards are accessible. Again, all cards can be sheathed with quality sleeves. When the trays are used for large cards, the total storage capacity for large cards is increased to 1 sleeve cards. The smaller gear card slot can be used to store dividers no longer needed if you put your gear cards in a filing cabinet.
These trays can be combined with Insert FS-KDM + for expansions. If Insert FS-KDM + is not used, the FS-KDM trays can be placed in the box in an alternate order, with the token trays on the bottom layer and the small board on top. We recommend that you place the main game board on top of this layer.
Finally, the terrain tile boards go to the right, the rulebook next to them, and finally to the right is the space for settlement location maps and there is still space on the on it for a folder for gear cards if you have one.
When this insert is combined with Insert FS-KDM +, they fill the game box. When the two inserts are used, the total number of standard sleeved cards is increased to 1 and the gear cards to 860. With the gear in a filing cabinet, the total of standard cards is increased to 740.
