In Coup, each player receives two character cards, kept face down and secret from the rest of the table. In turn, players can claim to have any character they want by performing the action of that character: take coins from the Treasury to finance coups, exchange your characters, or even murder the characters from another player.
However, Coup allows players to challenge the legitimacy of an action at any time - do they really have an Assassin, or are they bluffing? Think carefully, because you're wrong on your challenge, you lose a character - and the last player standing wins.
