When the first Polynesian sailors roamed the Pacific, they crossed the Tungaru Archipelago, now also known as the Gilbert Islands. Rich in nutrients and resources, they began to colonize these lands and spread their culture.

Tungaru places players like the first Polynesians in this medium to Euro dice placement and resource conversion game. Players will jump from island to island with the goal of recruiting nomads as new tribal members, colonizing lands, spreading their culture, and trading goods.

Players use dice as workers, Leader cards which are revealed blind and then given to their neighbor, and custom meeples specific to their tribe. All this in order to be the best performing tribe!
