This week's Kickstarter crush is: Vampire: The Masquerade - CHAPTERS
A game created by Gary Paitre and Thomas Filippi from Flyos Games. They are the ones who gave us Kiwetin and Until Day Light. Completely Quebec game!
Vampire: The Masquerade - CHAPTERS is a cooperative game for 1 to 4 players.
The story takes place in the city of Montreal, after the fall of the Sabbath.
An ancient threat re-emerges and takes you on an epic hunt through the city of dark faith. The game is a mature and visceral experience based on several branching mechanisms. Whatever you decide in the game can have consequences (good or bad): the difference is small in the world of darkness. Throughout the campaign, your level of status and masquerade will influence the course of your experience.
Most scenarios can be approached in several ways. Players will resolve situations and complete scenarios as they wish! Choose a physical approach and focus on combat or promote a social approach with dialogue.
You can play two free prologues online at https://tabletopia.com/
The game offers the possibility of playing a role-playing game without the need for a game master or to know the role-playing system.
The graphics are gloomy at will and goes really well with the theme. For lovers of World of Darkness you will be served!
You will find there several prominent places in Montreal such as the Olympic stadium, the Five Roses factory, Mount Royal and many others
The characters are varied and offer you a multitude of options and unique skills. Each vampire displays his own character and physique. Each character has his miniature and his prologue (which serves as a tutorial).
3 levels are offered by cons they are expensive in our opinion:
- The KINDRED: Simply the basic game - CAD $ 149
- L 'ANCILLA: The basic game and the 3 character extensions - 199 $ CAD
- ELDER: All Add-ons (at a reduced price) - CAD $ 349
All pledges include Stretch Goals and Kickstarter exclusives.
In conclusion, we contributed with an Ancilla. From what we have seen on Tabletopia, this game is filled with possibility and potential. It will be offered in French and English simultaneously.
Are you going to let yourself be tempted by the world of darkness?
